On September 25, 1953, Pegaso etched its name in history. At the Jabbeke Speed Trials in Belgium, Spanish driver Celso Fernández pushed a specially tuned Pegaso Z-102 to a staggering 151 MPH (243 km/h), making it the fastest production car in the world at the time. This achievement cemented Pegaso’s reputation as a marque that didn’t just challenge the greats—it surpassed them.
